The School is extremely fortunate in having its own Outdoor Pursuits centre, Harris House in Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales. England's largest single drop waterfall, Hardraw Force is located next to Harris House in the grounds of the historic Green Dragon Inn.  Located in the hamlet of Hardraw near Hawes, the building is the old school house which was built in 1875.  It was bought by the school in the 1960s and then renovated for the school's use in 1993 when an Old Hulmeian benefactor, W C Harris left £50,000 for the renovation of the property.

The accommodation holds 34 people with 3 dormitories and 3 other rooms.  School groups regularly use the centre for field courses, Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and Combined Cadet Force training.

The facilities are also available for hire to other groups wishing to use it as a base for all kinds of outdoor pursuit activities. The Warden of Harris House is Mr J Hardy and he can be contacted through school or through  the Harris House website.
