Applications for Year 7 September 2014

Parents of Y7 applicants will receive a letter from their local authority on 3rd March to tell them which school their child has been allocated.

It has come to light that letters from Manchester City Council have been sent in error on 25th February before the offer date. Applicants living in other local authority areas will not get their offer until the 3rd March.

If your child has been allocated a place at William Hulme's, you will be asked to contact us to tell us whether you are accepting the place.  We will send you a confirmation letter and acceptance form which ypu will need to send back to us before 17th March, together with any supporting documents required.

If your child has not been allocated a place at this school. we will send you a follow up letter on 5th March explaining how places were allocated and why your child was unsuccessful.  You are entitled to appeal against this decision.  Please go the Appeals section on this website for more information.

This year we received 1191 applications for the 95 places available, hence many families have been disappointed.  Please note that the ability band your child was placed in did not affect whether he/she was allocated a place.  The same proportion of places was offered to each ability band - we did not SELECT bright candidates, we allocated to children of ALL abilities.
