Mechanics of Music Workshop

On Wednesday 13th February gifted and talented pupils were given the opportunity to experiment with musical instruments and physics equipment to help understand how vibration is related to musical concepts such as pitch, tone and quality etc.
This was led by John Thompson and Phil Goodwin and ably assisted by Dr. Nigel Marshall.
Ben Bowen and Adam Miles from the sixth form were also there to lend a helping hand
Everyone agreed that it was a fun and informative afternoon so thanks very much to Peter Callaghan, gifted and talented coordinator for his great idea !
