Design and Technology fosters visual sensitivity, while helping pupils develop practical skills that they will find invaluable in the outside world, where technology is a fact of everyday life. While teaching technical skills such as design, drawing and presentation, design and technology encourages pupils to discover differnt ways of working, becoming more independent an taking on an increased amount of responsibility. The school's approach to these disciplines has been highly successful and in recent years pupils have won national arkwright scholarships and design awards from companies such as jaguar cars.
