Music

Orchestra, concert band, brass band and choir; these are just some of the activities that the music department organises for everyone - whether or not they play an instrument - to become involved in making music.

Our music department works with a number of peripatetic teachers to provide a wide range of opportunities and we have school instruments available for those who wish to take lessons. Regular concerts provide an opportunity for everyone to perform as well as building a strong sense of teamwork and community among the members of the various bands and the choir. We often have the opportunity to perform at prestigious venues, such as the Bridgewater Hall. We have been chosen by the Manchester Evening News to perform at the annual carol concert in Manchester Cathedral. The music department regularly take part in over seas tours.
