Student Services 2011 - An overview

The Background

The Student Sevices Team [SST] is a product of the re-organisation of the pastoral support systems.

The new team brings together the talents and expertise of the SEN department; Learning Mentor team; Gifted and Talented co-ordinators and the Head of Careers and Business & Enterprise.

The Aim

The aim is to support the social and emotional development, behaviour, engagement and progress of students across the school clearly outlining the roles and responsibilities of the school, parents/carers, students and external agencies. Intervention is early, timely and targeted to ensure maximum impact.

The Structure

Mr Khalique, the Assistant Principal Student Services, is responsible for the leadership and management of the team.

That said, there are a number of colleagues within the team holding key positions of responsibility.

• School Connexions Advisor: Ms Anna Browne
