Special Educational Needs

Mr Khalique is the SENCO (pro tem) and Mrs Dorling Assistant SENCO are responsible for the leadership and management of SEN across the academy and the line management of the Learning Support Assistants.

Careers Service and Enteprise

Mr Veevers is the Head of Careers and Ms Burnett is the Head of Business Studies / Enterprise (pro tem) and are responsible for the leadership and management of high quality information, advice and guidance on Careers and Enterprise across the academy.

Gifted and Talented Provision

Mr Kathrada and Ms Bhaimohmed  are the academy's GT co-ordinators and are responsible for the upkeep of the GT register; having an oversight of internal support; delivering enrichment activities; monitoring academic data and mentoring programmes.

Mentoring Programmes

Head of Department, Mo Kathrada and team members include Nik Sinha, Shakera Bhaimohmed and Darren Cassidy.  The Mentoring Department provide high quality and outstanding therapeutic and academic support in helping remove the barriers to learning for some of our most complex young people - the team does a fantastic job with these pupils! 

This year the Team is based in the Impact Centre: the Impact Centre serves 3 purposes:

[1] Long-term placements for pupils struggling in / out of lessons

[2] Quiet Area - this area of the centre provides academic support for students who have a phased or modified timetables

[3] Therapeutic support carried out on a daily basis.
