Special Educational Needs

Mrs Richardson is the SENCO and Mrs Dorling Assistant SENCO are responsible for the leadership and management of SEN provision across the academy and the line management of the Learning Support Assistants.

They are supported by Ms Mehaffy (Learning Support Manager); Ms Walker (Speech, Language and Communication) and Mrs Krondiras (School Health Care Plans).


Careers Service

Mr Veevers is the Head of Careers and is responsible for the leadership and management of information, advice and guidance on Careers across the academy.


Enrichment - Gifted and Talented / Enterprise Provision

(Stretch & Challenge)

Ms Burnett heads up the Department and is responsible for the leadership and management of the school's enrichment programme in these areas working closely with Ms Bhaimohmed to provide stretch and challenge events.


Mentoring Programmes (Impact Centre)

Mr Kathrada is the Head of the Mentoring Department and his team members - Shakera Bhaimohmed, Darren Cassidy, Karl West and Nik Sinha, - provide therapeutic and academic programmes in helping remove the barriers to learning for pupils at the school. 

The Team is based in the Impact Centre: the centre serves 3 purposes:

[1] Learning base - support for Pupil Premium students through high quality mentoring sessions and academic intervention programmes.

[2] Quiet Area - theraputic and academic support for students who have a phased or modified timetables

[3] Placements - bespoke learning pathways for pupils struggling in / out of lessons including therapeutic support which is carried out on a daily basis.
