Enrichment & Extra-curricular programme

All pupils in the Primary Phase take part in a programme of regular visits outside the classroom in relation to the topics they are studying.  These range from visits to the local park through to visits to the many excellent museums and art galleries in central Manchester and the historic homes in the surrounding area.  In addition, all pupils in Year 4 and 5 hve a residential visit to Harris House in the North Yorkshire village of Hardraw.  Here they conduct Geography field work as well as having visits to other places of interest in the locality.  In Year 6, pupils visit the Robinwood Outdoor Education Centre at Dobroyd Castle in Todmorden, where they are challenged to take part in a series of adventurous and exciting activities.

A comprehensive programme of extra-curricular activities takes place after school in term time for children in Key Stages 1 and 2; most children take part in at least one activity per week.  There are many sports clubs, particularly in Key Stage 2 and other activities include Craft Club, Choir, Dance Club, Computer Club, Judo, Fencing and Spanish Club.
