Year 7

Year 7 2011-2012 (new intake)

·         There will be 3 ability bands based upon CATs scores and other information.

·         Bands A and B will follow a very similar curriculum.

·         All students will be following Spanish.

·         Band A will learn Latin and World Culture in half classes in a carousel arrangement which will last half the academic year for each subject.

·         Band A will be taught Food Technology and Design Technology in half classes in a carousel arrangement which will last half the academic year for each subject.

·         Band T (Transitional) will experience a more topic based approach with fewer teachers and have more support in English and Maths.

Students will be taken off timetable to take part in sessions covering PSHEE and Citizenship. However some aspects will also be taught across subjects where appropriate.
