Year 8

Year 8 2011-2012 

 

  • There will be 2 ability bands based upon progress made in Year 7.  The key determinants for the banding will be ability shown in Mathematics, English, Languages and Science.

 

  • All students will be following French.

 

  • Band A will study 2 Languages (French and German).

 

  • Band A will be taught Food Technology and Design Technology in half classes in a carousel arrangement which will last half the academic year for each subject.

 

  • Students will be taken off timetable to take part in sessions covering PSHEE and Citizenship. However some aspects will also be taught across subjects where appropriate.
