Manchester Schools Under 15s Table Tennis Team Tournament
WHGS entered two teams into the above competition onWednesday, 13 January, at Our Lady’s
RC High School. I’m very pleased to say that WHGS(1) finished 5th overall - against some great
opposition with some fantastic players.
Although it is a Year 10 and below competition, our Year 9 team of Martin Wan, Ahmad Yusef,
Arun Biju and Amaan Ullah performed really well.
The overall winners were Parrs Wood and runners up were MGS. In the group stages we drew
with MGS 3-3 but lost on points count back 57-54, very close!)
WHGS(2) - comprised of Amal Joseph, Antonio West, Ahmed Rehman and Will Burden, whose
Uncle Paul Schofield runs the competition (former student at WHGS and Old Hulmeian)!
Well done to both teams.
