The ‘William Hulme’s Star Award’ identifies and celebrates the outstanding work ethic, determination and resilience by students. It is paramount to recognise outstanding students during these unprecedented circumstances.
The Star Award recognises:
- Students who are working to the best of their ability and taking pride in their work, in addition, their effort has been clear when facing a challenge.
- Where a student has shown determination and resilience during difficult circumstances and focusing on their Home Learning.
- Providing work that is of a high standard and making the most of the resources that are available from their teachers.
Teachers will be able to nominate students for the 'William Hulme’s Star Award', students will need to receive five ‘star points’ across their subjects and this will be reviewed and rewarded by the Principal at the end of May. The prize will be a Star Award Certificate and the prestigious Star Badge. The top student in each year group will receive a tablet.
Outstanding student's work from across subjects will be displayed on the ‘WHGS Wall of Excellence’.
