KS3 Inclusion Boccia Tournament

Tuesday 18 October 2022

Students from Key Stage 3 were selected to take part in a Boccia Tournament, due to their positive engagement and effort in PE lessons. All students who attended had never played Boccia before, but they showed a great attitude and learnt the rules of the sport quickly and soon were taking part in competitive matches.

This Inclusion event was run by the Manchester PE Association, which focussed on students' participation and enjoyment. The School Games values of self belief, passion and teamwork were our focus for the matches.

All students were passionate when attempting to learn a new sport and really showed excellence as they were trying to do their best in all the practices / drills. Boccia is a team game and you need to be able to work with others and talk about tactics and how these help your team to win. All the students involved were respectful of their team mates and listened to their advice when it was their turn to throw / roll, this was highlighted by staff and leaders at the event.

Congratulations to all students involved!!
