Year 6 PGL Residential

October 2022

A group of our Year 6 pupils recently went on a residential trip to Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire. The children had a go at a variety of activities, which challenged them to not give up and work as a team, such as the zip wire, problem solving and orienteering.

During the raft-building exercise, children had to communicate their ideas and use the rope-tying techniques they had just learnt from the instructor, to build a raft using only barrels, wood and rope. All the rafts did float, but some children did fall into the cold water!

Many children faced their fear of heights during activities, such as trapeze, giant swing and climbing. They showed great ambition in going as high as they could and were very proud of conquering their fears in taking part.

We all loved it at PGL!
