Secondary Sports Leaders run Primary Dodgeball Competition

Wednesday, 15 January 2019

We rely heavily on our Secondary Phase Sports Leaders to run events throughout the school year that engage Primary Phase pupils in physical education. The following students led a Primary Dodgeball Tournament on Wednesday evening at WHGS.  We had 12 primary schools all turn up to participate in the competition, which was a great success. Our Sports Leaders were in charge of welcoming teams to the school, running the competition and then promoting the school games values throughout the tournament.  They gave awards to primary pupils at the tournament who showed the following values:

  • Respect
  • Passion
  • Self-Belief
  • Respect
  • Honesty
  • Determination
  • Teamwork

All staff who attended commented on our Sports Leaders’ excellent attitude, friendliness and patience towards their pupils during this tournament. Our fantastic Sports Leaders were:

Esmay, Missy, Niomi, Ismail, Zavier, Charley, Zaine S, Zaine E, Esther, Tamara, Prishni, Carol and Marsha.
