Recent events were not going to stop the Music and Drama Departments from holding their annual Wow Factor talent competition so there was only one thing for it, to go virtual!

Students from KS2, KS3 and KS4 submitted their online entries and then the judges Mrs Goodier, Mrs Edwards, Miss Rhead and Mrs Martin deliberated over the fantastic work submitted, which included TikTok style dance videos, VTs, musical performances, using both technology and acoustic instruments, and various vocal acts.

Our overall winners were:

KS2: Ans (5K) Byrom House
KS3: Charis (9JJC) Heywood House
KS3: Codi-Leigh (8CRH) Gaskell House and Emma (9JJC) Heywood House (Special credit for use of technology)
KS4: Niomi (10RJC) Gaskell House and Esmay (10RJC) Heywood House

Not only do all entries count towards the William Hulme’s Way, but all contestants have earned significant house points for their Houses. Congratulations to all and thank you for taking part.

A big thank you to our new AV and Sound technician Mr S Brady for editing all the footage.
