Year 6 PGL Residential

A group of our Year 6 pupils recently went on a residential trip to Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire. The children had a go at a variety of activities, which challenged them to not give up and work as a team, such as the zip wire, problem solving and orienteering.

Drama Club's Production of Winnie Wonka's Chocolate Factory

On Wednesday 19 October, William Hulme's Drama Club performed their own original performance of Winnie Wonka's Chocolate Factory. With only 6 weeks to rehearse, the students worked extra hard in rehearsals and learning their lines to put on a wonderful production for staff, students and parents.

KS3 Inclusion Boccia Tournament

Students from Key Stage 3 were selected to take part in a Boccia Tournament, due to their positive engagement and effort in PE lessons. All students who attended had never played Boccia before, but they showed a great attitude and learnt the rules of the sport quickly and soon were taking part in competitive matches.

This Inclusion event was run by the Manchester PE Association, which focussed on students' participation and enjoyment. The School Games values of self belief, passion and teamwork were our focus for the matches.

Sixth Form Dodgeball Competition

On Friday 14 October, we held our first Sixth Form House Sports Competition of the year.

Over 50 students and staff turned out to play Dodgeball for their Houses. There was a brilliant atmosphere, with all the games being extremely competitive, with some very close games but, most importantly, everyone enjoying the competition.
