'Star Students' is an initiative to recognise that a student at our school has strived to do their best and be a role model in all aspects of school life, including getting involved in one of our many leadership roles, clubs or school teams.
The criteria for achieving star student status is shown below:
The William Hulme’s Way
We believe all students who get fully involved and strive to do their best in all aspects of school life deserve recognition. In Key Stage 2, these are our Star Students who:
1 Have Great Attendance
Have an attendance of 96% or above.
2 Behave Excellently
Be a model of excellence and behave appropriately at all times, demonstrating growth mindset. No reds for the whole term, including lunchtime reds.
3 Are an active member of our school community in one or more ways (student leadership, co-curricular activities, school representation)
Take on a role of responsibility such as a prefect, class monitor or school council/eco council member; learn new skills outside of the normal school day, sporting or otherwise; represent the school across the curriculum, competing in activities in and around Manchester.
