Our Facilities

The Sixth Form Centre at William Hulme’s Grammar School is open for business!

Located in one of the school’s listed buildings, the Sixth Form Centre manages to combine tradition with a bright and fresh interior that provides students with an environment that will enhance their learning experience. The high ceilings, large windows and spacious rooms allow the building to be filled with natural light which contributes to a positive sense of well-being.

The coffee shop provides high quality hot drinks and food and the bright common room allows students to relax in a comfortable space. The flexible learning space caters for students that want to get on with group work, whilst the private study area provides a silent place for academic study.

The building is also home to the Sixth Form Team, a group of dedicated staff that are committed to helping the students here fulfil their academic potential.

We hope that you will take the opportunity to come and visit us and choose William Hulme’s as the place to continue your path to academic success.

The Team

At William Hulme's we take the welfare and academic progress of our Sixth Form students very seriously. The individual care which we can provide is one of the key reasons why students thrive and succeed here. At WHGS students are known personally  - they are never 'one of the crowd'.

Monitoring your welfare will be your Form Tutor, working with the Head of Y12 and Head of Y13. These members of staff will decide when an intervention needs to be made to help a student achieve his/her personal best. They will also be on the look out for any welfare issues, or barriers to learning. Supported by the whole school's Student Services Team, there is always someone who can be called on to help.
