On Thursday 10 November, Manchester United Academy hosted their very first Emerging South Asian Talent Football Festival as part of their ‘All Red All Equal’ initiative.

The event launched their partnership with the Premier League and PFA (Professional Footballers Association) to help boost South Asian player representation within their Academy and encourage participation from children and young people hoping to break into football. Endorsed by the Club's very own Zidane Iqbal, they gave six schools the opportunity to attend their very first Year 4 Football Festival at the prestigious Carrington Training Ground.

This included a question-and-answer session with Zidane, before showcasing their talents in various game-related drills used within the academy, while Zidane watched and, in some games, helped the children by joining in.

All the children had an amazing time being within the environment of a professional Football Club and are excited to continue their football journey in the years ahead.
