The Drama and Music Department hosted a wonderful evening of songs from musicals this week, to a very supportive audience of parents, students, friends and staff.
The evening began with our Primary Phase Vocalists singing 'When I Grow Up' from Matilda and then dance, drama and musical acts from the Secondary Phase. Highlights included drama extracts from Legally Blonde and Matilda and dance pieces from High School Music and Chicago. Musical pieces ranged from, 'Beggin' (Jersey Boys), a vocal duet 'Song of Purple Summer' (Spring Awakening) and 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough (The Motown Musical).
The evening finished with the All-Star Band giving their rendition of the 'Time Warp' and both dancers, actors and full audience participation was encouraged in this wonderful finale piece to complete a lovely evening of entertainment.
Well done to all staff and students involved and thank you for everyone's efforts for making this live event come together.
