What are Applied and Blended Routes?

Applied (BTECs) Route

BTEC Diploma and Extended Certificate qualifications are also Level 3 courses and consist of a mixture of examinations, coursework and controlled assessments. On an Applied Pathway you will choose two or three subjects, each one equivalent to an A Level, or if you choose Applied Science, the equivalent to two A Levels.

Blended (A Level and BTEC) Route

Our Blended Route offers students the opportunity to study a combination of A level and advanced applied (BTEC) courses. This pathway offers a wider range of courses and options for students, providing you with a mix of traditional academic learning and vocational courses. There are various combinations of A Level and Applied options that can be chosen.
