Our Primary Phase Action Ambassadors have launched their new social action campaign with a visit to Manchester South Central Foodbank. There, they met Heidi, who shared how the foodbank supports people facing tough times — and how anyone might need help at some point in their life.
Inspired by what they learned, the children are now starting a Primary Phase Food Drive. Please give what you can — tinned food, pasta, toiletries — and help us support local families. The children will return to the foodbank to deliver your donations.
As part of their campaign, the children will also be writing to the government to call for an increase in Universal Credit, so that fewer people need to rely on foodbanks in the future.
