Students and staff at William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS) in Manchester are celebrating today after Sixth Formers once again received an excellent set of A Level results.

Students at the school have been awarded a raft of the highest A* and A grades and, in doing so, have secured places at their universities of choice, including a host of Russell Group institutions such as University of London and the University of Manchester. Students will be going on to study a wide range of high-quality, competitive courses, from Medicine, Physics and Pharmacy to Dentistry and Psychology.

Students celebrating particularly impressive achievements and university offers include:

• Aban who has achieved 3 A* grades and will be going on to study Medicine at University of Manchester;
• Swara who has also achieved 3 A * grades and will be studying Medicine in 2027;
• Dec who has achieved 2 A* grades and an A and will be going on to study Physics at University of Manchester;
• Sufeyah who has achieved 1 A* grade and 2 A grades and will be studying Pharmacy;
• Peter who has gained 1 A* grade and 2 A grades and is intending on studying Medicine in 2027;
• Manakhil who has also achieved 1 A* grade and 2 A grades and is pursuing Medicine in 2027;
• Anas, who has achieved 3 A grades and is pursuing Dentistry at Queen Mary, University of London;
• Monika who has achieved 3 A grades and is studying Medicine in 2027.

Peter, who has been at WHGS since Primary, said:

“I am really happy and proud of my results. Although it was hard work, it’s great to see that it was worth it.”

Manakhil said:

“Thank you to all of the teachers and staff at William Hulme’s. They pushed and motivated me to continue to work hard and achieve great results.”
