Junior UKMT Maths Challenge

Well done to our amazing Year 7 and 8 students who, through their hard work and dedication, have proudly achieved Bronze, Silver, or Gold awards in the Junior UKMT Challenge.

The Maths Department are extremely proud of them and their outstanding achievements.

One of our amazing Year 8 students, Ismail Khalid, told us:

"UKMT is a great opportunity for children 12–18 year olds to express their way of understanding maths in a whole new concept. UKMT gives you the mathematic ability to problem solve skills, logic reasoning and mathematical thinking.

It is a fun end engaging experience to do this whether you are in a competition, team challenge or maths puzzles.

These are great activities to offer a unique way for students to enjoy the mathematical process!

When we did the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge, I was very confident to do the best that I can achieve - I was ready for what came ahead. But when I got my results, I was not only proud of myself, but proud that I had achieved this goal of reaching a silver mile mark that I did not get in Year 7. I found out that you don't need to be the one with great marks and intelligibility. UKMT is all about fun".
