On Wednesday 13 May, Year 1 had a very exciting visit from beekeepers.
We learnt lots of interesting facts about bees, including how they make honey and why they are so important for pollinating plants and flowers.
The beekeeper showed us some of the special equipment they use to look after the bees and explained how bees work together in a hive. We played fun games to help us remember what we had learnt and everyone enjoyed joining in.
The best part for many of us was tasting the delicious honey made by the bees. We had a wonderful time and learnt so much about these amazing insects.
