Our Year 12 Art Class went on an Art Trip to Salford Quays to gather primary source photographs and observational drawings. We plan to use all images gathered in the next unit of "Urban landscape and Portraiture".
It was the coldest of days, beautifully sunny in the morning, which made excellent photography opportunities. In the afternoon we drew from observation for as long as we could in the low temperatures. The architecture and industrial landscape at Salford Quays will make interesting backdrops to the Year 12 portraits. It will be exciting to see what creative ideas the Year 12 Art Team come up with.
We also said goodbye to our wonderful Swedish exchange student. It was a pleasure to have her in the Art Team and wish her luck in the future.
