In February, ten of our Year 12 students travelled to Zambia to take part in a Sports Coaching Programme, as part of the government’s Turing scheme, which promotes international relations between schools.

The boys worked closely alongside the local community and delivered Sports Coaching to primary school children who live in some of the most deprived areas of the country.

Every student from WHGS conducted themselves brilliantly and made a profound impact on the lives of the Zambian children they worked with, whilst making some long-lasting friendships along the way.

Also, the boys attended night-time workshops, which looked closely at Climate Change initiatives and how they can work towards creating a sustainable future for all.

Every member of the group came back with a different perspective of the world in which we live and with a more positive outlook on people, communities and friendship.
