On Tuesday 13 May, the Food & Nutrition Department held the Year 7 MasterChef Competition. It was a very busy evening with many Year 7 students cooking a variety of tasty dishes.
The food room was a hive of activity and everyone produced amazing, well-flavoured and well-presented sweet or savoury dishes making the judging very difficult. There were lots of promising skills on show and the standard was very high.
The winners were:
Savoury Dish:
- Nafisa Ali - Tacos
- Haider Asif - Butter Chicken Curry
Dessert:
- Aizah Latif - Halva
- Lara Dabaz - Kunafi
Technical Skills:
- Darin Goran Muhamad - Steak with Chimichurri
Presentation Award:
- Uzair Ahmed - Chocolate Cake
All the winners received a cook book and a Food & Nutrition pin badge.
