On Tuesday 29 November, ten students from Year 9 on the B2M Programme attended Lancashire Cricket Club to participate in an interactive talk from The Gambling with Lives Programme.

Head of Education, James Grimes, delivered a session geared towards how young people can easily get addicted to gambling, the fall out in terms of social exclusion and mental health issues, along with his own story he showed that there is support and hope with addictions.

The boys showed a great deal of maturity in the sensitive issues that were discussed and all of them gave their own articulate thoughts and ideas on what addiction and gambling meant to them, plus the help they could implement if they, friends or family suffered from this type of addiction.

They were a credit to the school; so much so, that Ian Seddon, the LCC Education Manager, gave them a tour of the players and media suite at Lancashire as an end to the morning.
