Sixth Form

Welcome to WHGS Sixth Form

Welcome to WHGS Sixth Form, and thank you for considering continuing your education with us. Our mission is to provide an inspiring and supportive environment where every student can reach their full potential, both academically and personally. At WHGS, we blend traditional academic excellence with modern facilities and diverse opportunities that foster growth, independence, and leadership.

Ambition is at the heart of our values. We support students with a wide range of academic goals through a high-quality, flexible curriculum. While academic success is a priority, we also offer a rich enrichment programme that develops skills essential for future careers. Opportunities include the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Model United Nations, Bar Mock Trial, and student-led societies - ensuring there is something for everyone.

With over 200 students, our Sixth Form is large enough to provide a dynamic environment with a wide range of experiences, yet small enough to offer personalised academic and pastoral support. Our inclusive, close-knit community welcomes all students, helping them settle in quickly and build lasting friendships.

We also recognise that transitioning to Sixth Form can be challenging, so we work closely with students and their families to ensure a smooth, well-supported experience from application to the end of Year 13.

We are proud of our students’ achievements and excited to be part of their journey toward fulfilling lives. We look forward to welcoming you to WHGS Sixth Form and supporting you in realising your ambitions, whether that be A Levels or vocational courses, over the next two years.
