Secondary Curriculum Framework

The curriculum in the Secondary Phase gives students access to a wide range of subjects.  Students have the opportunity to study English, mathematics, science, computing, a language, history, geography, religious studies, music, drama, art, design technology, food and nutrition and games, all the way through to the end of Year 9.

Students make their choices of option subjects during Year 9 and take them through to external examination or assessment at the end of Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11).

Students at William Hulme’s Grammar School gain qualifications and experience that opens the door to the next phase of learning be that apprenticeships, A Levels, Level 3 BTECs, Vocational Qualifications or employment.
