Girls Without Boundaries

Our Challenge through this Sport Initiative is an ambitious innovative partnership project with Lancashire Country Cricket Club to encourage more active and healthier lifestyles for students through getting involved in regular sport and physical activity.

We are taking part in the “Girls without Boundaries” Project, this is a new session following from This Girl Can, this session is going to be based in school to all year groups. The aim of the sessions is to make a performance using dance moves, martial arts movements and self-defence. The students will come up with a storyline and make a dance/scene using this. A bit like when twist and pulse performed on Britain’s Got Talent. This will be based with music that you guys want to include!!

You don’t have to be good at dancing, as it’s not based on dancing, the aim is to have fun!! If we make a performance we can perform it at your Sports Awards and also perform it at a cricket game at Lancashire County Cricket Ground or at other community events.

Congratulations to the Year 8/9 girls involved in the Girls Without Boundaries Dance Competition. They came 3rd out of 8 schools competing for the trophy.
