On Wednesday 14 December, a group of twelve Year 11 students visited Lyme Park in Stockport. Having visited the Park when they were in Year 7, the students were very keen to recreate their fun day out and experience Lyme Park in the winter... and they were not disappointed!
We had a super day in the sunshine with snow on the ground. The day started with a circular walk around the Park, visiting the Lantern and Cage buildings and admiring the clear views out over Manchester and the Peak District.
Despite the snowy conditions and a few slips, everyone had a lot of fun exploring the Park, including the woodland and watching the highland cattle grazing. After warming up with a hot drink and lunch, we went on to explore the gardens and completed a fun treasure hunt.
The day was a highlight of the Autumn term, with both students and staff having a fantastic time.
