Monday 23 June 2025
On Monday 23 June, Year 12 students from History, Law and Politics attended the 'Trump 2.0' Conference at the University of Manchester (UoM). The event was organised by the University's American Studies Department and consisted of a range of lectures by world-leading academics on the fast-paced and controversial changes being made in the US by President Trump in his second term in the Oval Office.
Our students represented the school alongside many other schools and colleges from the North of England. There was also a Q&A session at the end of the event with the academics, and Hamza asked a brilliant question about conflict in the Middle East.
Earlier in the day students received a tour of the campus and some may even be inspired to choose UoM as one of their options as they begin their university applications in Year 13!
