Henna Club Showcases Stunning Artwork and Cultural Learning
Our Primary Phase Henna Club has been a vibrant addition to school life this term, giving pupils the chance to explore the beautiful and intricate art of henna design.
Pupils learned about the cultural significance of henna across different communities, as well as the skills needed to create detailed, symmetrical patterns. From practicing on paper to applying real designs, pupils have shown incredible creativity and focus.
As a highlight of their hard work, Henna Club pupils recently offered henna designs to other pupils, demonstrating their new skills with intricacy, detail and care. The term ended with a showcase, where they proudly displayed their knowledge, designs and the history behind this ancient art form.
To mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate Eid, the Henna Club also provided henna designs as part of the festivities, allowing pupils to connect with and honour this special occasion together.
Henna Club has also been a fantastic way to celebrate the diversity within our school community, allowing pupils to share and appreciate traditions from different cultures.
