The report paints a picture of a school where pupils “thrive in this diverse and welcoming community” and where “individuals are valued and nurtured.” Inspectors were particularly impressed by the school’s inclusive ethos, structured routines and the way pupils embody the school’s values of ambition, respect and compassion.

From the early years through to sixth form, pupils benefit from a rich and ambitious curriculum, delivered by expert teachers who know how to bring learning to life. The report notes that pupils “build a deep and rich body of knowledge” and that “there is no limit put on what children can achieve.”

Some of the key strengths highlighted in the report include:

  • A well-organised and ambitious curriculum that supports high achievement across all phases
  • Strong teaching and assessment, with teachers quickly identifying and addressing misconceptions
  • Outstanding personal development, with leadership opportunities for all pupils, from lunch monitors to eco reps and social action leaders
  • A caring and respectful school culture, where pupils are confident, articulate and kind
  • A love of reading, fostered through a strong phonics programme and a vibrant school library
  • Effective support for pupils with SEND, including those in the school’s specialist provision
  • Exceptional careers education, helping pupils make informed choices about their futures

Inspectors also noted the school’s calm and purposeful atmosphere, where behaviour is exemplary and pupils are fully engaged in their learning. Pupils were described as “polite and respectful,” and the school’s pastoral care was praised for helping every child feel a "strong sense of belonging".

The report also praised the school’s leadership, noting that recent changes have brought about significant improvements. Staff across the primary and secondary phases work closely together, sharing expertise and ensuring a smooth learning journey for pupils aged 3 to 18.

Principal Mrs Heaton said:

“We are incredibly proud of this report, which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, students and families. I am especially grateful to our school community for their continued support - together, we are building something truly special.”
