Year 4 has been busy this half term with a range of exciting, hands-on learning experiences across several subjects!
In Science, pupils have been learning all about classification. As part of this, they ventured out into the school grounds to hunt for fallen leaves, using a dichotomous key to classify their finds. In a follow-up lesson, they had great fun creating their own dichotomous keys—this time to classify biscuits!
In Design Technology, our pupils have been honing their sewing skills. Their hard work paid off, as they each designed and created their very own pencil cases, showcasing their creativity and precision.
In English, the children explored instructional writing by composing detailed instructions on how to create a "marvellous medicine" inspired by Roald Dahl's book. They particularly enjoyed following a fun recipe to make their own medicine, just like George, though we are not too sure it would have tasted very nice!
Well done to Year 4 for working so hard this half term—we are excited to see what more fantastic learning awaits next term!
