On Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 September, children in the Primary Phase participated in a Golf Taster session. This was arranged to coincide with the Solheim and Ryder Cup, which is when international golf players from Europe take on their American counterparts to win a trophy for a two year period.
Through the Golf Foundation, we used local professional golfer, David Myers, to come in and teach children the basics of golf and provide some background knowledge for the sport.
Although the weather meant some sessions took place indoors, all children enjoyed the experience, and it will help as we look to attending Golf Events in Summer 2024.
