During the last two weeks of term, our wonderful pupils rolled up their sleeves to make our community a cleaner, greener place! As part of the Great British Spring Clean, classes in the Primary Phase helped tidy up the streets, school grounds, and local field.
Armed with litter pickers, bin bags and bright smiles, the children worked together to collect rubbish and make a real difference. From crisp packets to plastic bottles, every piece of litter removed helped create a safer, cleaner environment for everyone.
This social action project reflects our school values and commitment to developing responsible, caring citizens. It also links to Children’s Rights under Article 24 of the UNCRC, which states every child has the right to a clean and safe environment. Additionally, it supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 15: Life on Land.
We are proud of our pupils for their hard work and dedication. The Great British Spring Clean has shown us that small actions lead to big changes.
Well done to everyone who took part – you are true community heroes!
