Our Year 10 Boys Football Team played in the Greater Manchester Cup on Thursday 11 January. The game was played at Manchester Metropolitan University, Platt Lane Complex, due to poor conditions at WHGS. Standish High from Wigan were the opponents.
In an excellent game of football, our Year 10 team won 6-2, with some fantastic football being played. Our scorers were Oliver (2), Mo, Yaqoub, Eesa and Charlie.
Player of the match was Yaqoub, as awarded by the neutral referee.
The next round for the Year 10 team is to play Priestnall from Stockport at home.
