Our Year 12 and 13 Product Design students visited the Renew Hub recently, to see first-hand how Greater Manchester is reducing the amount of waste going to landfill, as well as understanding more about what is done in the name of sustainability.
Students saw how a range of household products; from white goods, to bikes and furniture, are repaired and up-cycled and sold, in order to reduce waste and raise money for charities.
Students also got the opportunity to see how Krispy Kreme donuts were manufactured in batches, ready for distribution around Manchester. They even got to try them.
